IWS 5: Tools for Dance Improvisation

Thomas Hauert’s particular interest lies in improvisation-based processes, exploring the tension between freedom and constraint, individuals and the group, order and disorder, form and formlessness. In a progressive series of improvisational tasks with one or more partners, exchanging information sensorially, in touch or at a distance, taking advantage of that phenomenon will enable the creation of forms, rhythms, movement qualities and trajectories far beyond what our conscious mind could invent.
