IWS 1: Cunningham Technique

Merce Cunningham's innovative approach to movement and music helped define and develop contemporary dance. Beginning with a classical basis, the Cunningham technique is intensively trained, promoting strong rhythm and flexibility through muscular power. Then longer sequences of Cunningham’s repertoire will be taught. Daniel Squire joined the Merce Cunningham Dance Company (MCDC) for over ten years and works as a teacher, dancer, and actor.
