Quartiers Libres

2G-show | Nadia Beugré (Abidjan/Montpellier)

08 – 09 Oct 2021 | Potsdamer Tanztage 2021Dance / performance

Quartiers Libres is an unleashed solo in which Nadia Beugré conquers the stage with a dedication to African women – but not only. The questions she addresses there are universal: What happens to us when we cross borders and approach places we are not allowed to enter? Nadia Beugré struggles with the limitations of the stage, oppressive sounds, a sea of plastic water bottles, and a tangled, seemingly endless microphone cable. Her body keeps the upper hand – feeding the desire for freedom. After Legacy, which she staged with amateur dancers at the fabrik Potsdam in 2017, Nadia Beugré returns with a piece characterized by brutal energy and high sensitivity.

Beware: The shows will take place under the application of the 2G regulations.
