Tires of different sizes lie scattered across the stage. One by one, four performers enter, each attempting to reorganize the space according to their own logic. Their intentions clash, structures collapse, and five hundred kilograms of rubber become both obstacle and partner. Inspired by the concept of anti-fragility by the philosopher Nassim Nicholas Taleb, PNEU explores how bodies respond to pressure.
Balancing, lifting, rolling, and stacking, the performers navigate a terrain between contemporary dance and circus. Gradually, tension gives way to coordination, and disorder transforms into a fluid, collective play of strength, precision, and timing. Effort, imbalance, and resistance are not merely challenges but catalysts. What begins as discord evolves into shared rhythm, revealing how strain can generate connection and resilience. In this physically demanding dialogue, exhaustion meets lightness, and instability becomes fertile ground for cooperation. The piece invites us to consider whether growth emerges not despite pressure - but because of it.
