Six women. Strong together. Male and female at the same time. Sometimes fearless, sometimes insecure. Sometimes wild, sometimes soft. Each beautiful in a different way. Each one is a powerhouse and together they are unbeatable. Together they present an energetic image of female empowerment. With martial arts, voguing, hip-hop, house, rap and vocals, Role Model celebrates all that one might be understood as individual, diverse and unique. Dancing to electro funk and atmospheric soundscapes by DJ Streamer, they are the epitome of modern femininity: women who do and can do anything they imagine and want. Choreographer Nicole Beutler works at the crossroads of visual arts, theatre, and dance. Together with author Magne van den Berg, she developed this performance for and with unique performers of different origins, expertise, and dance languages.
