As if emerging from the fabric of fluttering flags, heraldic symbols take on form and weight. Chimerical creatures and bizarre figures appear as if from the pages of an armorial book or a medieval bestiary. Ginevra Panzetti and Enrico Ticconi explore the symbolic power of the flag. ARA! ARA! stands for an emerging power that has chosen a bird figure to represent itself. As in the piece Harleking, which they presented at the Potsdamer Tanztage 2020, Ginevra Panzetti and Enrico Ticconi present a precisely choreographed duet that constantly gains power with graphic and rhythmic movements.
