Q3Ambientfest

A Boutique Music Festival / Online Festival

09 – 11 Apr 2021Concerts

Carefully curated by the Selke brothers, East Berlin-born polyinstrumental composers Sebastian and Daniel Selke (CEEYS), who now live in Potsdam, the open-minded music lover is invited to get to know the contemporary spectrum.

Six female and eight male musicians are on the programme of the online music festival. The line-up is more international than ever with contributions from Peru, Finland, the USA, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Italy, Poland, France, Germany, the UK and Hungary.

Over three days, the festival offers an up-to-date insight into contemporary music compositions via videos, clips and a live stream on Saturday from the fabrik Potsdam. Particularly noteworthy: The live stream ends with a joint improvisation/performance by Laure Boer and Brueder Selke.

Since the first edition in 2017, 72 artists from 23 different countries have been guests at the Q3Ambientfest in Potsdam.

The Q3Ambientfest has been taking place in partnership with fabrik Potsdam since 2017, on the grounds of Potsdam's art and culture quarter Schiffbauergasse. It cooperates with independent music initiatives, custom instrument makers and alternative concert formats such as Piano Day, Fluister, 30CC, Piano & Coffee Co., Traurig und Untanzbar, Klavins Piano Manufaktúra, SOMA Laboratory, Schh. Series and Brudenell Piano Sessions.

While the Q3A is part of Keychange, an international campaign by the PRS Foundation supported by the European Commission's Creative Europe programme, this remarkably musical event receives funding from Brandenburg's state capital Potsdam.
