WG Neumann

Laura Heinecke & Company (Potsdam)

29 Oct 2026Dance / performance

Whilst traditional gender roles are becoming more prominent once again, WG Neumann turns its attention to what often remains unseen: the fragile, contradictory inner world of men. In their new production, Laura Heinecke & Company explore contemporary masculinity beyond clichés and preconceptions.

In WG Neumann, the living room is rearranged and the search for the right outfit is a recurring theme – revealing just how complex the manifestation of one’s own identity can be. With elegance, shyness, and courage, the most diverse facets of the human inner world come to the fore. Rarely are questions of masculinity addressed from such a humorous and intimate perspective. Through the man-to-man relationship, which retains its mystery throughout, vulnerable and touching sides emerge – opening up a space for the audience to feel empathy, recognise their own experiences, and gain new perspectives.
