Hero speaks for the people who turned their defeat into victory and those who became heroes and heroines without realising it. It showcases the courage, effort, perseverance, and strength it takes to take up the fight – powerfully, energetically, encouragingly, and with humour.
Do we still need heroes and heroines? Who are they? What significance do they hold in our everyday lives? Greek choreographer Patricia Apergi has explored the heroes and heroines of our society and, in Hero, brings them to life through her stage heroine, Sofia Pouchtou. She draws the audience into a whirlwind of emotions and asks about the heroes within each and every one of us.
