“You love me, you love me not...” Those who consult the oracle of a daisy leave their fate to innocent chance. Le Margherite picks up on this playful coincidence and, between disguises and transformations, presents a sensitive ode to transience.
The experience of chance as a source of joy is central to the piece. Accompanied by a musician, the five performers unfold a dynamic performance on a verbal, musical, and physical level from which they repeatedly disappear and reappear in surprising forms. Chance becomes intensity, and a poetics of transience develops before the eyes of the audience. It is an attempt to trick eternity by turning streams of consciousness and one's own ineffectiveness into resistance.
