Materia opens a stunning world in which seemingly insignificant everyday materials become breathing organisms. From the very first moment, floating spheres and dancing sheets of polystyrene draw the audience into a vortex of lightness and quiet tension.
Andrea Salustri unfolds a delicate play between control and letting go. The objects respond to air, touch and chance, transforming the space into a fragile landscape of sound, movement and light. In Rome, Salustri trained in contact juggling and fire manipulation before later completing his dance and choreography training in Berlin. Here, he creates a poetic universe that challenges our perception and celebrates the beauty of the ephemeral.
After the performance on Sat Feb 28: Talk with the artist
Info: All the polystyrene used during the performances will be composted by worms called Zophobas Morio. These worms possess bacterial enzymes in their gut that biodegrade polystyrene, making them able to digest it.
