The fabrik Potsdam supports students from the Cultural Work programme at Potsdam University of Applied Sciences in an exhibition and performance project at KunstHaus Potsdam. Can you feel it? – rooms of sensing transforms sensory overload into a multimedia, participatory performance, combining sound, dance, and visual art. The performer guides the audience through a diverse, sensory installation. The artistic positions negotiate the range between intensive atmospheres and a lack of stimuli. This raises questions about the everyday challenges of sensory perception and personal boundaries. The "rooms of sensing" also offer a space for introspection, sensing and complete immersion in what is happening.

Workshop Move and Sensing

The dance workshop Move and Sensing invites you to explore the exhibition space on a somatic level. By connecting with the body, its anatomy and their own feelings, participants develop a deeper sense of movement and perception. In a guided improvisation, they immerse themselves in the movements that arise spontaneously from within. As soon as this connection is solidified, the group expands its focus and allows itself to be guided by the visual and auditory impressions of the exhibition. Art and space can thus be experienced in a dance-like way - an invitation to experience the exhibition Can you feel it? - rooms of sensing in a new, sensual and holistic way.
The workshop is free of charge and open to everyone, regardless of previous dance experience. Professional dancers and movement enthusiasts are very welcome!
