Junge Stücke presents four performances by young dancers from Potsdam and Brandenburg who dance regularly under professional guidance. All of them bring their own themes and visions to the stage in different forms of dance expression: diverse, surprising, loud and gentle! Whether the different qualities of water, connection and separation, the realisation of individual dreams, courageous lone fighters or strong groups – all the young dancers look for ways to translate their feelings and inner processes to the outside world.

man muss ja nicht immer alles wissen
Compagnie tanzparcours
‘Let's just dance. Everyone's up for it, everyone trusts each other. Trust us, let us surprise you! We'll dance, for you, for us. We are fully in the moment. And survive in everyday life through strategies that we develop and immediately discard. It's about stability, attitude and, above all, cohesion.’
Founded by Kathi and Ludovic Fourest, Compagnie tanzparcours is an intergenerational and participatory contemporary dance project with a focus on action in Potsdam. As a space for dance, new formats are constantly being developed together with young dancers. These include workshops, performances, travelling, international exchange and teaching as well as interdisciplinary encounters, especially with musicians.

Overflow
YoungDanceCompany of fabrik Potsdam
Overflow invites you to immerse yourself in the essential element of water and explore its power, beauty and resilience – but also its vulnerability. The young dancers embody the ever-changing nature of water, flowing and breaking like drops and waves. Through their encounters and connections, they reflect how water connects us to each other and to the world. What is our relationship with water and what does its future look like? Connection turns into tension, the flow of water becomes unbalanced. But even in chaos, water finds its way and overcomes obstacles.
The YoungDanceCompany was founded in early 2023 under the direction of Giulia Del Balzi and currently consists of 13 dancers aged between 15 and 19. The young people have been training in dance classes at fabrik Potsdam for several years.

Let’s talk about us!
Dance seminar courses 11-13 of Neues Gymnasium and Neue Gesamtschule Potsdam
The combination of movement with self-chosen content, inspired by the exploration of contemporary choreographies, is a special, new and exciting challenge for the participants in the project. In Let's talk about us!, the dancers embark on a journey into their inner selves and search together for ways of expressing themselves through dance in order to reveal something about themselves.
Neues Gymnasium and Neue Gesamtschule Potsdam offer dance classes in the curriculum of the levels 7-10. There is a new possibility in the curriculum of the levels 11-13 to choose Contemporary Dance as a seminar course. As part of the course, students explore the artistic strategies of various contemporary choreographers and then develop their own choreography.
Seminar direction & management: Anja Kozik / Choreography assistance: Alessia I`Desanto / Dancers: Younths of the seminar dance course 11-13 of the Neues Gymnasium and the Neue Gesamtschule Potsdam / Text: Charlott Lehmann / Sound: Acoid / Light: Sophia Schützler
Alles nur Show!
Youths of the TanzWERKSTATT Cottbus
Flying high and taking part in the big show of life! How is this possible in a time characterised by competitive behaviour and comparison? The young dancers have explored this topic and asked themselves the following questions: How can dreams be realised? How do we manage to believe in ourselves? There are also moments of bottomless falls and pure exhaustion along the way. But how authentic can you remain? Are you a lone fighter or are you supported by ‘your’ group? Are dreams just bubbles in the end or can they come true? Is the big show really our goal or are we perhaps in search of something completely different...
TanzWERKSTATT Cottbus offers a space for contemporary and experimental dance. The aim is to work on an individual dance movement language in a protected space and to touch on personal and socio-political themes choreographically. TanzWERKSTATT is open to all forms and approaches in the field of dance and choreography.
