VASTA
Lina Gómez (Berlin)

Vasta delves into the immensity of ancestral and fictional heritage and identity, vibrating through the voices and bodies of different women. In collaboration with other artists, Lina Gómez reflects on cultural practices and the persistence of the body in history, drawing inspiration from her background with Afro-Brazilian and Colombian traditions.

Lina Gómez, a Colombian-born, Berlin-based choreographer and dancer, constantly shifts the constellations between the visible and the invisible, between the human and the non-human. By playing with different scenic and physical configurations, she speculates on the possibilities of connection based on differences and changes normative perceptions of time by opening up new worlds of imagination.

ABOUT LAMBADA
Collectif ÈS (Lyon)

Children of the 90s and lulled by the utopia of the European Union, a territory with open borders, Sidonie Duret, Jérémy Martinez and Émilie Szikora witnessed the fall of the Berlin Wall. 1989 was also the year the song Lambada dominated the charts in Germany. About Lambada explores the link between the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Lambada, an international, social and political phenomenon, questioning its potential to bring bodies and countries together.

Since 2011, Sidonie Duret, Jérémy Martinez and Émilie Szikora have co-written plays exploring utopia, disagreement, plagiarism and popular heritage. Creating live performance means sharing physical and emotional experiences, cultivating physical empathy and exploring the social role of collaboration.

AMƏN
EM+ / Emanuele Rosa & Maria Focaraccio (Genua/Berlin)

Stemming from the Hebrew word "amen", meaning "to be certain", "to be true", amən explores notions of authenticity and appearance, and the blurred boundaries between education, culture and nature. The work navigates between drama and irony, examining identity, gender, and the complexities of masculinity and femininity within one body. Through movement, sound, and video, it invites reflection on gender representation and personal identity.

EM+ founded in 2022 by Emanuele Rosa and Maria Focaraccio, embraces diverse collaborators. Their choreography explores identity, gender, and expression with humor and depth. They delve into the essence of expression, seeking honesty and courage in accepting one's identity through movement, spotlighting the vulnerabilities of each person.
