Étape Danse is a trilateral European residency programme that supports three selected new dance productions from France, Germany and Italy each year. FAIRE FLEURIR
Nicolas Fayol / Collectif Hinterland (F)

FAIRE FLEURIR stages a dancer, stones, two musicians and a play of light and shadow in a space that is extremely reduced in height. The height does not allow people to stand up on their feet. As if in an underground, secret or inaccessible place, the performers join together in search of a body that can stand on four legs.

Nicolas Fayol discovered hip-hop dance in 2003 and attended the International School of Jazz Dance in Paris three years later. He then worked with various choreographers and began his work as a performer with Christian Rizzo in 2016. In parallel, he worked with images, photography and video in his garage. In 2022 he created TONES&BONES, a jazz repertoire for saxophonist Daniel Erdmann and a dancer.

On Fri 25 Aug 17:00 the play FAIRE FLEURIR will also be shown in full length on the stage of the fabrik Potsdam. Free admission. Due to limited capacity, please register at the following address: etapedanse@fabrikpotsdam.de
