The mobile pop-up Splaaash explores the potential of exaggeration and hyperbole. Based on comic worlds, onomatopoeia, and the appearance of known and unknown superheroes, the space is transformed into a dance-fight arena. The choreographer duo Rykena/Jüngst combines language, sound, and movement to create a humorously illustrative piece that asks how we tell stories through our bodies, which superheroes we would design if we could choose, and how we can collectively create imaginative images of transformation. The bodies dance through a kind of "Parcours", at the same time questioning and grasping the notion of "superpower" in its often exclusionary and dismissive tendency.
