NADIA BEUGRÉ (FR/CI)
LEGACY

In “Legacy” Nadia Beugré pays tribute to those women in motion who fought and sacrificed themselves all over the world for the rights, the freedom, the dignity of their people, and their own. What do they leave behind nowadays and how does their courage can become a source of inspiration into the fights of our time? Born in Ivory Coast, this preoccupation for women’s place and fate is anchored in Nadia's own story. Together with the dancer Hanna Hedman, the musician Manou Gallo and 15 female volunteers from Potsdam and Berlin she wants to explore these often forgotten worlds.

BALKAN DANCE REALITY SHOW

Is there something like “Balkan dance”? In this work, the artistic collective decided to consider the concept of the Balkans, a geo-cultural unity or identity, as a fiction. Four performing artists, who live and work in different international contexts, will question their own position in relation to this collectively developed fantasy. Using the American Reality TV Show 'Work of Art – The Next Great Artist' they approach questions about the essence of art itself: what is the reality put “on a show” after all?
