CLÉMENT LAYES / PUBLIC IN PRIVATE (D/F)
In “Dreamed Apparatus” Clément Layes creates a situation in which speech, movement, and images are no longer trapped in their own simple contexts, but their content and meaning can instead change at any given moment – abstract as in a dream. This journey into the unknown of non-rational contexts examines how and if it is possible on stage to create the experience and the construct of experience as a simultaneous process which influences each other.
GAETAN BULOURDE (F/B)
There Are No More Seasons
In his dealing with Sacre du Printemps, Gaëtan Bulourde, follows in his piece “There are no more seasons”, the footsteps of primitive art, Fluxus- performance and Arte Povera into a wild cut-up collage of traditional folk and tribal dances, self-made instruments, shamanistic ceremonies, and voodoo cult. Through this conscious deconstruction of the sacredness of this epochal piece, the work shows its multi-layered dimensions and simultaneously gains a new and surprising relevance.
OPEN STUDIO: Fri 30th August, 11:30 am with brunch and talk.
Admission is free.
