The premiere of this piece has been postponed to spring 2021.
On Nov 21 there will be a live stream with an excerpt of the production and a discussion with Laura Heinecke.
Laura Heinecke's new production is about nothing less than the truth.
Is there a universal truth that we can all share? Or is truth not rather an individual, subjective good? To what part is it made by ourselves, by our thoughts and actions? And is not the search for truth profoundly political? How do we succeed in allowing different truths to coexist? Do we find the truth in a "staying true to oneself", as spiritual gurus of our time claim, or does it not require constant negotiation among ourselves in our being together?
Laura Heinecke has gathered a team of dancers, lighting designers, video and stage designers, writers and dramaturges around her, who, with their eyes wide open, engage in a battle that is virtually impossible to win. It is precisely at the points of friction, the flaws of the unspeakable, in getting lost, not least in the physical, that doors open up, with new perspectives.
