Les Sols – Floor spaces

David Brandstätter & Malgven Gerbes / shifts (Le Havre)

22 – 23 May 2020 | Potsdamer Tanztage 2020Young dance

Children aged up to 3 years dream twice as much as adults. In their sleep they absorb the information about the world they discover every day. It is also said that babies are born with an almost absolute ear and a highly developed sense of smell. What a great time to interact creatively! Les Sols – Floor Spaces is an experimental choreographic project. Children, accompanied by their parents, settle comfortably around a stage area and discover a dance, scenic and musical piece inspired by the sensory awakening of the very youngest. The children have the opportunity to interact with the objects and the performers and to move freely in space. They discover how movement becomes language, how sounds become music and how colourful objects and materials create landscapes. A creation to see, hear and touch for children aged 9 months to 3 years and their parents.
