The group of seven performers conquers the space rhythmically and with great energy. An explosion of colours and energy, where dance is the connecting element. Urban Dance meets the submissive nature of a court with wide spread arms, puppet-like poses and deeply bent backs. The faces, mask-like and distorted, seek contact with the audience, seemingly smiling at them, but the bodies speak a different language, cannot be restrained and unite in dance. Brother refers to the previous work Hu(r)mano (2015), which also focuses on dance in a group context. From ancestral patterns to street dance, Marco da Silva Ferreira explores the roots of being together through movement.
Current information about the festival will be released on April 06, 2020.
